Dayton First Church of GodTaking the Next Step

Welcome

Thinking about visiting?

No expectations. No requirements. Come as you are. Here's what a Sunday morning at Dayton First Church of God looks like.

We are so glad you decided to find out more about Dayton First Church of God. We hope you will take the time to look around. Be sure to contact us if you have any questions.

What to Expect

We have a come-as-you-are attitude.

No expectations and no requirements for stepping through the front door. Each week we have greeters at both entrances. If you have any questions or need any help, let them know and they will be happy to assist you. Find out more about what we believe and get to know our staff and elders a little bit better.

Common questions

What should I wear?+

Whatever you are comfortable in. Casual or dressy, there is usually a mix!

What will the music be like?+

This is also usually a mix. We favor contemporary music but also throw in traditional hymns to celebrate our history and where we came from.

Is there anything for my kids?+

Yes! We start our worship service with everyone together so that kids can learn and grow as we worship together. After singing, prayer, and our offering time, the pastor will read a short Bible story just for the kids. They are then dismissed for class (3 years old to 5th grade) for the remainder of service.

How long is the service?+

Our service lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Additional questions we suggest answering

Where do I park and where do I go in?+

There's parking right at the church off State Route 839, between White Oak Golf Course and the Armstrong County Fairgrounds. Greeters are at both entrances, ready to help you find your seat, the kids' classes, or anything else you need.

Is there a Sunday school or class before service?+

Yes. Sunday classes start at 9:15 AM for ages 3 through adult. Adults meet in the sanctuary; the current adult study is the book of Ephesians.

What about a midweek service?+

Wednesday evening service is at 6:00 PM. We pray over requests together and study scripture. You're welcome to come.
